#PEOPLEHELPINGPEOPLE
As an independent designer I am more than happy to be able to give my support to the SHELTERSUIT Foundation and share their work in helping homeless, refugees or victims of a disaster or conflicts.
Operating in my own city, Enschede, I was able to visit the SHELTERSUIT Foundation factory and see their work up close with my own eyes. Starting from the recycling and selecting materials and
fabrics for the creation of the sheltersuit, these are cutted and sewn by expert tailors’ with high craftsmanship skills creating each product down to the smallest details. Comfort and
functionality are some of the most important elements for the creation of a sheltersuit.
As a jewelry designer, I have been wondering for some time how I can provide support to people in need of help. From here the desire to collaborate with SHELTERSUIT Foundation and support their work was born.
My goal is to be able to finance the creation of at least 3 sheltersuits thanks to the proceeds collected from the sale of DSD collections. In addition to this, my goal is to make their work
known to as many people as possible.
Because a jewel is not just a futile ornament but also a support tool, acquiring a value that goes beyond the material one. By wearing a DSD jewel, you will carry with you the awareness of having
helped a person in difficulty and contributed to the support of SHELTERSUIT Foundation and shared their
great work with others.
